Stina Tordby, a composer raised on the countryside among forest and open fields in the middle of Sweden, has always credited nature as her eternal source of inspiration. Her compositions, comprised of equal parts spiritualism and exploration of self, convey a sense of grounded blissfulness. She invokes emotions and memories by unpicking universal wonders about the human experience, of pain, growth and belonging. In doing so, Tordby summons a greater sensibility to experiencing life. With each work, and each new subject of investigation, she emboldens love of self, reinforcing the listener with grace and validation.
